Mittarfeqarfiit Overhauls IT Systems
Greenland Airports is under way with a major upgrade and overhaul of its systems by investing in Gentrack’s world-leading airport system. The extensive upgrades will be implemented in the coming years and are aimed at ensuring that Greenland Airports can keep up with the development and live up to customer expectations.
The implementation will affect three primary areas: Gentrack’s system comprises an Airport Operations Database module and a billing system which will contribute to modernising and streamlining operating processes, in particular, when it comes to handling and servicing of airlines as well as a Flight Information System module, which will materially improve airport experience for passengers. Benefits are two-fold – a top-modern information system on the airport screens to the advantage of passengers and a higher quality of the services our airports provide to airlines. „The investment in Gentrack’s system will help us reinforce our information systems, our database system and our billing system. We must prepare for the future, hence our focus on modernisation and efficiency improvements which are all aimed at ensuring that our customers get the best service possible. Ultimately, it is a matter of improving the facilities in our airports, which will in turn improve the experience for airline passengers,“ says Niels Grosen, acting Chief Executive Officer and Operations Manager.
